Deans art at Vale House!

Dean moved into his flat on the 15th April 2025 and very quickly set about adding his own unique style to his home. He is a talented tattoo artist and illustrator and loves to showcase his artwork in his flat.

Dean previously lived in Supported Accommodation but felt that his mental health conditions were not sufficiently supported which led to him making poor choices which impacted both his mental & physical wellbeing. Despite Dean being incredibly positive about the changes he is making to his life he remains at risk of relapse, which is why the daily support he receives from staff is so important to him. He is actively encouraged to slow down his thought processes, rather than making any impulsive decisions and staff support him to make informed decisions by discussing actions and consequences and the potential impact this could have on him.

Previously Dean felt unable to fulfil his passion for art but since arriving at Vale House has returned to doing what he loves most and has even invested in his own drafting desk and art supplies! He recently produced artwork to celebrate the One Year Anniversary of Vale House which now hangs with pride in the staff office!
