Settling into life at Harbour House

Moving to Harbour House marked an important turning point in Cairan’s life, providing him with greater independence, dignity and choice.

Prior to moving here, Cairan lived in accommodation where personal space and privacy were limited. Shared facilities and communal living arrangements often made it difficult for him to enjoy his hobbies, develop daily living skills and establish routines that supported his wellbeing.

Music is one of Cairan’s greatest passions. As a guitarist and keyboard player, having space to practise and create music is very important to him. Since moving into his own flat at Harbour House, he has been able to enjoy his music freely and comfortably.

Cairan has also developed his cooking skills significantly. Working alongside support staff, he now prepares healthy meals, experiments with new recipes and enjoys greater independence in managing his own diet and daily routine.

His commitment to health and fitness has grown too. Cairan regularly cycles to the gym and has recently taken up Muay Thai boxing, demonstrating confidence, determination and a willingness to challenge himself.

Today, Cairan takes great pride in his home and enjoys a level of independence that was previously difficult to achieve. Harbour House has provided not only accommodation, but also stability, opportunity and a place he is proud to call home.

Congratulations, Cairan, on all your achievements.
